17th Century Spanish Witch

The Wolftress

Born an orphan and abused by men,

she will exact her revenge on the world

ABOUT THE NOVEL

A lean, mean 244 pages long, “The Wolftress,” according to some reviewers, will redefine the werewolf genre by going deep into the real roots of the lore.

Based on Ana María García, La Lobera, a real 17th Century witch from northern Spain, the novel explores witchcraft, werewolves and horror, all with the backdrop of the
Highlands of Jalisco, one of the most gorgeous regions on earth.

ABOUT THE NOVEL

Peter Crane, a college kid who decides to chuck it all and become a real working cowboy travels deep into one of the most beautiful regions of Mexico, where a series of grisly murders plague the rural countryside. The victims are torn to pieces.

Peter joins his new boss, Lucas Carrera, a local rancher and former cop and a group of American and Mexican cowboys in defending their ranch and town against the terrible evil behind the murders. A mysterious priest suspects the killings may be tied to “The Wolftress,” a 17th Century Spanish witch who commanded a group of wolves to kill at her will.

As the cowboys and priest go deeper into the mystery, they begin to realize that here in this gorgeous region of Los Altos de Jalisco (Highlands of Jalisco) the fate of the world hangs in the balance as unspeakable terror grips the region.

Ringo Carrera- 22-year-old Ringo Carrera is the young rancher who helps his older brother Lucas Carrera run the family ranch. He loves his family, his ranch and most of all, his girlfriend Joan Duarte. But before he marries her, he will have to face the greatest horror to hit the Highlands of Jalisco.

Raymond “Ray Ray” Coulombe- Twentysomething Raymond “Ray Ray” Coulombe is a former bullrider who now works for Lucas Carrera taking care of Texas Longhorn. The herculean African-American cowboy found a new home in the Highlands of Jalisco. As tough as they come, he will need all his courage to face the new terror that rises in the Highlands.

Father John Vianney -a priest in his 50’s, he belongs to a mysterious religious order from Rome that goes way back to Roman times. He is the parish priest of San Miguel de la Sierra and a friend of Lucas Carrera.

The Highlands of Jalisco (Los Altos de Jalisco)
Smack in the middle of Mexico, Los Altos de Jalisco, with its highlands, abundance of old school architecture and rich in rural traditions, is one of the country’s most unique and gorgeous places.

Not as well-known as Mexico’s beach resorts or urban settings like Mexico City, Los Altos is often seen as a beautiful but mysterious region. Many say the birth of the modern cowboy began in Los Altos de Jalisco, where rural Spaniards who migrated from northern Spain brought with them their equestrian culture.
Charros, Mexico’s proud gentlemen horsemen originated in Los Altos. The land is also known for its beautiful women, tequila and cuisine.

” Una de las mejores novelas que he leído, con un tema que casi nadie ha tocado. Me gustaría ser el protagonista de esta novela si se llegara a realizar en televisión”
